On 25th – 30th June 2017, RIGRID project was presented at 12th International Scientific and Technical Conference “Progress in Applied Electrical Engineering” in Kościelisko (Poland). The main objective of the conference was to present current issues concerning the broadly understood electrical engineering, integration and exchange of experience of the scientific community.

RIGRID Consortium was represented by M.Sc. Eng. Łukasz Rokicki, an employee of the Institute of Electrical Power Engineering, Warsaw University of Technology (WUT-IEPE). During the conference a paper titled “Optimal operation control in low voltage microgrids in rural areas functioning on the basis of centralized control logic” was presented. During his speech, Mr. Rokicki presented:

  • general characteristics of LV microgrid,
  • assumptions about the developed algorithm for optimal operation control of LV microgrid,
  • proposed optimization criteria and accompanying them constraints,
  • flowcharts of the developed control algorithm,
  • assumptions about the way of implementation of developed control algorithm.

Presentation of Mr. Rokicki met with great interest from the participants of the conference. During the discussion M.Sc. Eng. Ł. Rokicki answered the questions about the possibilities of development of the microgrid concept in Poland as well as the possible technologies of generation and storage of electricity.
